  • What is the cost to publish my book?
Our Publishing Packages are tailored for each book. Binding type, page size and whether illustrations are required are several factors that affect the price. Once we have received your manuscript, we will then be able to provide you with a publishing proposal that outlines all of the associated fees. We’ll also outline the general production specifications of your book and how long it will take to complete after the receipt of completed manuscript.
  • Do I have to have a completed manuscript to begin?
Absolutely not!!! We can assist you no matter where you are in the development process. - If your book is still just an idea, contact us so we can connect you with our team of ghostwriters to help bring it to reality! - Are you finalizing the last few details of your manuscript? • How do I begin?
Once you submit your manuscript, our team will review it. If accepted, we’ll send a detailed proposal that outlines how we’ll handle the publication of your book and the cost to do so. If you do not have a completed manuscript, DO NOT WORRY!!!! We will connect you with our team of ghostwriters to get your manuscript completed and after it is completed we will then send you a detailed proposal that outlines how we'll handle the publication of your book and it's costs. If you accept our proposal, you’ll return the signed contract along with the first payment for publication and we will then get to work for you!
  • Do you accept every manuscript published?
We do not review or evaluate manuscripts for literary merit or market potential. But there are categories that we do not accept; examples of these are racist material, hate literature, or pornography. We reserve the right to reject any work that we may find to be unsuitable for our company.
  • Do I need to obtain a copyright of my book before submitting to Prize Publishing House?
That will be a NO! Upon publication, a copy of your book will be filed in your name with the Register of Copyrights to obtain a Certificate of Registration of Copyright. The copyright will be registered in your name, not Prize Publishing House. Manuscripts and unpublished works are protected by common law and statutory law from the point of creation. There is no need to obtain a formal copyright registration before submission to Prize Publishing House.
  • How much money will I make? What is my royalty percentage?
You should publish with Prize Publishing House because you want to see your work in print, not because of expectation of sales. Please note that royalties are paid to you on all sales of your Work EXCEPT: (a) sales of used copies of the Work; (b) sales of the Work to yourself; and (c) copies of the Work given to any person or entity (e.g. the media) free of charge. Prize Publishing House gives authors a royalty rate of 100% through our distribution channels for print formats. Royalties are based on the payments we actually receive from the sale of printed copies of your book, less any shipping and handling charges or sales and use taxes. Also, we offer discounts to retail and wholesale customers, so the royalty amount you receive depends on what type of customer (i.e. retail or wholesale) bought your book and any discount they received.
  • Do you offer printing services for books that are currently published?
Unfortunately, Prize Publishing House does not offer this service. Only books published directly through Prize Publishing House are made available for printing.
  • How long does it take to publish my book?
We can publish our authors within 90 days. You will be asked to review and approve files we send you throughout our process. Our 90-day guarantee is based on active author participation and average complexity. If your book is highly complex, or if you require multiple rounds of content edits, the timeline may be longer.
  • How many rounds of editing do I get?
We provide no more than two rounds of editing. If more edits are required that are not at the fault of Prize Publishing House, additional editing fees will be assessed.
  • Do I need to have Microsoft Word in order to use your editorial services?
Our editors work exclusively with Microsoft Word’s tracked changes feature, so you’ll need to have Microsoft Word or compatible software to incorporate our team’s suggested edits.
  • What is the cover design process?
First, we ask for your vision. You can provide as little or as much input as you like! Our cover designers are extremely talented and are often able to take ideas and run with them.   Next, your designer creates one cover mockup. You are entitled to two cover edits. If you want to make modifications after your book has been published, the changes will be subject to a cover edit fee.   Note, although our designers are very talented, they aren’t magicians, so there could be limitations for extremely specific requests.
  • If I have a cover image I would like to use, what is the best format for you to receive that in?
Please send images in JPG, TIFF, or PNG format at 300 DPI or higher.
  • Who determines my book's price?
You do. Authors set their book's price, description, keywords, genre, etc.
  • Can you make my book sell?
Marketing and Promotion are probably the most challenging aspect of publishing. While we do not actively market your book, please contact our publishing consultant if you're interested in learning more about our marketing services such as book trailer creation, Amazon positioning, and social media content creation services.
